Underground Mining
Because safety is of paramount importance, Dunlop belts designed for use within underground mines are fire resistant and approved and accredited to the appropriate national and international standards. Our Research & Development department works closely with government agencies and national and local mining organisations.
Dunlop provides a range of belts high quality belts that have outstanding resistance to both abrasion and cutting and designed for use in every phase of the production process – from the mine face and the transportation to the processing location through to the final mixing, blending and stocking.
Opencast Mining and ore processing
A great deal of the minerals used as raw materials for the world’s industries are extracted by opencast mining. This invariably requires belting with high resistance to the heavy impact, ripping and tearing caused during handling at the primary stages of production and high abrasion resistance to be able to handle several thousand tons per hour of fast-moving fines and yet still deliver the best cost per ton performance. Dunlop belts provide the most cost-efficient solution for the conveying of product in pellet, briquette and other ore dressing operations.
